  1. Contest begins at 12:01 AM EST on 2/1/07 and ends at 11:59 PM EST on 3/1/07, when all entries must be received. To enter, go to www.thefabricofourlives.com, click on the FASHION ADDICT contest button, complete online entry form including telling us why cotton is a staple for your most fashionable looks in 75 words or less, and submit it as instructed. Limit one entry per person/e-mail address. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsor’ servers or elsewhere, will not be eligible. Sponsor, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the web site. Use of bots or other automated process to enter is prohibited and may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any promotion not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure or technical failures of any sort. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a contestant, entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
  2. A panel of qualified judges appointed by the Sponsor will review all eligible entries. Sponsor will select one (1) Potential Winner based on the originality (50%) and fashion-forward concept (50%) of the submission, on or about 3/10/07. Winner will be notified by email and/or telephone. In the event of a tie, the winning entry will be the entry among the tied entries which is more original. If potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within five (5) days, or the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits all rights to any prize, and an alternate winner may be selected. All decisions of the judges are final and binding in all respects. Prize package: a 3-day, 2-night trip for two (2) to NYC, including roundtrip coach airfare from the closest major commercial airport to winner’s home in the U.S., hotel accommodations in a standard room (double occupancy) for two (2) at a hotel of Sponsor’s choice, ground transportation to/from the airport in NYC and two (2) tickets to a Fashion Week show in September 2007. The approximate retail value of the prize is $4,000, depending on exact itinerary. Winner and travel companion must be available to travel on the same itinerary, as selected by Sponsor. Both winner and travel companion must have, and show, government-issued photo identification at time of flight departure. Additional transportation, meals, in-room charges (e.g., mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals, and all other expenses are not included. Prize elements subject to availability, certain restrictions and blackout dates. If a potential winner cannot take the trip to coincide with Fashion Week in September 2007, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.
  3. Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  4. Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees of Sponsor, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
  5. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this contest, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors, and may modify or cancel this promotion based upon such error at its sole discretion without liability.
  6. Prize not transferable. No substitutions for prize except by Sponsor in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted.
  7. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By providing your e-mail address, you grant Sponsor the right to send you commercial messages and share your address with others, unless specified otherwise as indicated on the entry form.
  8. Except where prohibited: (i) acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner’s name, likeness and winning entry for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation; (ii) potential winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (including social security number) and liability/publicity release; (iii) potential winner and travel companion may be required to execute releases of Sponsor from any and all liability with respect to participation in the contest and/or use of the prize. (Tennessee residents need not consent to, or sign any, publicity release.) Affidavits and releases must be returned within ten (10) days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be chosen.
  9. By participating, contestant releases Sponsor, Cotton Incorporated, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injury, death, loss, tax liability or damage of any kind arising from contestant’s participation in this Contest, or resulting from contestant’s acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
  10. For winner’s name, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to GLAMOUR FASHION ADDICT c/o Alexandra Perakis, Glamour, 4 Times Square, 16th Floor, NY, NY 10036 after 3/10/07 but before 9/10/07. The Sponsor of this contest is The Conde Nast Publications, 4 Times Square, 16th Floor, NY, NY 10036.
